Tip: in the app, Settings (the gear on Home) › Contact support starts an email with your app version, content version and device model filled in, so we can help faster. You can see and edit everything before you send.

Purchases

How do I restore my purchases?

Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple Account you bought Pinsula Pro with, then:

  • open Settings (the gear on Home) › Purchases › Restore purchases, or
  • open the Pro screen and tap Restore at the top right, or Restore purchases at the bottom.

Pro switches on as soon as Apple confirms the purchase. If it doesn't, check your connection and try again, then email us with the approximate purchase date. We can't see your Apple Account, so the receipt email from Apple helps.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple, so you cancel them in your Apple Account:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  3. Tap Pinsula Pro, then Cancel Subscription.

Shortcut: in Pinsula, Settings › Purchases › Manage subscription (shown while a subscription is active) opens the same Apple screen.

Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. After you cancel a paid period, Pro stays on until that period ends. To avoid being charged after a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Pinsula Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase, so there's nothing to cancel.

Can I get a refund?

Apple handles all App Store payments, so refunds are requested from Apple, not from us. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the purchase.

I bought Pro. What does it unlock right now?

Before launch, Pro gives you unlimited custom pins on the map (the free app keeps 3) and the Found and Skip buttons on the Progress widget. From launch day it also unlocks every map category, the offline map, your own field-guide photos and live play sessions on your Lock Screen. The Pro screen tags those “At launch”.

Launch

What arrives at launch on Nov 19, 2026?

Works today: the countdown and widgets, the launch-prep checklist, the region map with your own pins, the checklists, the wildlife field guide (32 species so far), the fact check and guide, and a step-mode demo.

From launch day:

  • map pins, plus the Collectibles, Wildlife, Vehicle spawns and Secrets layers (Pro) and the offline map (Pro);
  • console-tested cheat codes in step mode;
  • wildlife sighting logging, with your own photos (Pro);
  • the Story missions, Tracked animals and Classic cars checklists;
  • live play sessions on your Lock Screen (Pro).

We add pins and codes only after we've verified them in the game, so they arrive over the days and weeks after launch rather than all at midnight. They come as content updates, so you don't need to wait for an app update. Pre-load opens Nov 12.

Why are there no cheat codes yet?

Because none are confirmed for the game yet, and we don't invent them. From launch, a code appears only after we've tested it on console. Any code that disables trophies or achievements carries a warning. Until then, try step mode with the clearly labeled demo on the Cheats tab.

Does Pinsula work offline?

Yes. Everything ships inside the app, so it opens and works without a connection. New content downloads the next time you're online. The full offline map (Pro) arrives at launch.

Your data

Where is my progress stored? Will it move to a new phone?

Your progress stays on your device. There's no account and no sync, and nothing you tick, pin, note or photograph is sent to us. That also means we can't restore lost progress for you.

Moving to a new iPhone by restoring an iCloud or computer backup, or with a device-to-device transfer, normally brings app data along. If you set up the new phone as new, or delete and reinstall the app, Pinsula starts fresh.

To start over on purpose: Settings (the gear on Home) › Reset all progress. Details are in the privacy policy.

Widgets, Siri and alerts

How do I add the widgets and the Live Activity?
  • Home Screen: touch and hold an empty spot until the apps jiggle, tap Edit › Add Widget, search for Pinsula, then pick Pinsula Countdown or Pinsula Progress.
  • Lock Screen: touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize › Lock Screen, tap the widget area, then pick Pinsula Countdown.
  • StandBy: while your iPhone charges on its side, swipe to the widgets view, touch and hold it, and add Pinsula Countdown.
  • Live Activity: in the final 8 hours before pre-load and before release, Home shows Pin to Lock Screen. Tap it to put the live countdown on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.

The Found and Skip buttons on the Progress widget are part of Pro. If a widget looks out of date, open the app once and it refreshes.

Which Siri phrases work?
  • “Pinsula countdown” or “How long until launch in Pinsula”
  • “Read a cheat in Pinsula” and “Show cheats in Pinsula” (cheat phrases are most useful once codes are listed after launch)

The same actions are in the Shortcuts app under Pinsula. If Siri doesn't recognize a phrase, open Pinsula once after installing and try again.

How do I turn alerts on or off?

Tap Turn on alerts during onboarding, or open Settings (the gear on Home) › Notifications and choose your topics: launch reminders, new cheats, new map pins and content updates. Launch reminders are scheduled on your device. New-content alerts need Background App Refresh to be on (iOS Settings › General › Background App Refresh).

Corrections

A pin or cheat is wrong. How do I report it?

Thank you. Email pinsula@catsoftapps.studio (or use Contact support in Settings, which adds your app and content version) and include:

  • the name of the pin or cheat, and the region;
  • your platform: PS5 or Xbox Series X|S;
  • what you expected and what actually happened;
  • a screenshot or a photo of the spot, if you can.

We re-check it in the game and ship the fix in a content update, so it reaches you without an app update. A wrong fact in the Guide? Same address, and a link to a better source helps.

Is Pinsula an official app?

No. Pinsula is an independent, unofficial fan-made app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Grand Theft Auto, GTA and related marks are trademarks of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc.
